Premiering in Los Angeles June 2nd through 9th, Portuguese Wine Week offers an unparalleled opportunity for wine lovers to explore the depth and complexity of Portuguese wines right here in the heart of Hollywood.

Hosted by Diniz Cellars, importer of fine Portuguese wines, this week-long celebration promises to captivate wine enthusiasts with a series of enticing events, including wine tastings, dinners, and other immersive experiences.

Join us as we sail on a luxury 40-foot catamaran or sailboat navigated by a USCG Certified Captain around the scenic Marina Del Rey harbor as we learn about Portugal’s history as a powerhouse durning the age of exploration. This Sip & Sail will be led by a certified WSET wine educator from the team at Matter of Wine where we will take a deep dive into some of Portugal’s finest wines.

Wine class is in session! Want to learn what makes Portuguese wine so unique? Join us in a fun, class-like setting at Vendome in Toluca Lake where we’ll be taking a deep dive into the varying wine styles and varietals Portugal has to offer. This is a “Structured Class & Tasting” where the session begins once everyone is seated at 6:30pm.

Experience the gastronomic potential of Portuguese wines by joining us for an evening tucked away in a glamorous and lush boutique event oasis, Hollywood’s Hidden House. Award winning chef Betty Fraser will help us pair delectable bites with 8 incredible Portuguese wines.

Discover the region of Dão and hear from the producer herself. Our very own Cristina Videira Lopes from Quinta das Queimas will be on hand to take us on a trip of the Dão region as we explore her delectable estate wines. Join us for an intimate wine dinner at a private residence in Hollywood.

Stop by Wally’s in Santa Monica for their Saturday tasting series where they’ll be pouring Portuguese wines starting at 3pm. Special discount for Portuguese Wine Week.

Imagine overlooking the Santa Monica coastline lit by the golden glow of sunset, savoring exquisite dishes crafted by Michelin-trained chefs, and sipping pours from 20 celebrated wineries, including Diniz Cellars’ Portuguese wines, while joining forces to empower vulnerable children in Southern California. Host for the 2024 Vintage Hollywood will be Joel McHale.

In June we celebrate “Dia de Portugal,” a day where Portuguese people all over celebrate our culture. Join us Sunday June 9th for a traditional dinner followed by a musical show with special guest Mariana Arroja as she plays the soulful sounds of Portugal’s famed Fado. Event will take place at the Artesia D.E.S. Portuguese Hall, Los Angeles’ only Portuguese cultural center. Meal options are traditional Portuguese style beef, or octopus stew.
